REVENUE MANAGEMENT CREDENTIALS
RM EXPERIENCE: Tim Coleman has been practicing revenue management for over 30 years in the airline, hotel and tour operator industries. He has held top level RM positions with United Airlines, Westin (Starwood) Hotels, Kimpton, Air Tours PLC, Kerzner (Atlantis and One and Only) Resorts and MGM Mirage Corp. (17 mega-casino resorts).
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to actually performing revenue management functions, Tim has personally developed innovative RM best practices, training programs, analytical tools, and corporate revenue management strategic plans. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Washington and Seattle University.In addition to his 7 years as a member in the HSMAI Revenue Management Special Interest Group, he has served four years on their board, one year as chairman, and was a recognized contributor to their newest Revenue Management text book.
SKILLS: Tim has honed his management skills in a variety of positions and training programs. He has a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance and Marketing. He has extensive analytical skills from his training at United Airlines in Corporate Strategic Planning and Analysis and has extensive background as a power user and programmer in the SAS (Statistical Analysis System). In addition, is an accomplished mentor trainer and teacher. He has also written many articles and case studies on revenue management and has spoken at numerous industry seminars, conventions and training sessions., including HSMAI, HITEC, Eye for Travel , Georgia Tech annual RM Conference
HOSPITALITY TECHNOLOGY CREDENTIALS
EXPERIENCE: Bill has over 25 years in the hospitality reservation and property management industry. His is a founder of Action Software Corporation and Reservation Technologies. He is an expert in hospitality industry standards, having chaired the AH&LA HITIS committee on Central Reservations, and responsible for the inclusion of those standards into the OpenTravel Alliance specifications. He has worked for companies such as MGM Mirage, SynXis, Hotel Information Systems, Rainmaker among others. His specialty is the integration of reservation and property management systems with revenue management systems, having been instrumental in developing the standards for the interchange of data between these systems.
